Think of what Hawaii was like back in the 60’s. Now open your eyes and you’re in the Cook Islands. Governed by New Zealand, the friendliness of the Kiwis is widespread throughout the Cooks. You’ll find no high-rise resorts here! The theme is ecofriendly and blends in with the natural beauty of the landscape. The villa concept has gained popularity in recent years. Some of which have their own private plunge pools, only steps away from the silky white sand and turquoise waters. Plenty of water sports are available, along with interior safari rides and delicious local culinary dishes. The main attraction is just to relax without the crowds and traffic. There’s only a 3-hour time change from the west coast, so minimal jet lag. With direct, nonstop flights on Air New Zealand, access is easy and seamless. I had the pleasure of escorting a group there. It well exceeded my expectations and left a lasting impression on everyone.
