In December, I was very lucky to be able to visit one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Islands of Tahiti! My wow moment was probably flying to the Bora Bora airport. Whoever gets excited about an airport or takes pictures at an airport? Well, the Bora Bora airport you definitely do! The airport is small, quaint and the beautiful aqua waters are shining so beautifully! The boats are waiting to take you to your hotel! Yes, boats to the hotel! The resorts in Bora Bora are so beautiful with lush foliage and some with the grand view of looking at Mt. Otemanu. I was blown away by the airport, just think how I felt when I saw my first over-water bungalow! I could have stayed in my bungalow forever, just peaceful looking out in to the crystal blue water.
One other thing about my Tahiti trip is we had a fun dinner at the Hilton Moorea. One particular moment was our dessert, they brought out what looked like a Black Pearl! The waiter had everyone pour the sauce on the pearl at the same time and it started to melt until into the yummy center! It was definitely a one of a kind dessert. I also spent a day on a Catamaran with snorkel equipment, kayaks, and stopped at great snorkeling spot as well as visit to the Vanilla Farm with a delightful lunch!
